Welcome to Pens for Kids Tanzania

Our mission

Our mission is to help kids in Tanzania in their academic and physical education by providing them with the necessary scholastic materials and sports equipment.

Our vision

Our vision is a Tanzania where every single kid has at least a basic academic and physical eduction to form the basis for their further development.

What we do

Pens for Kids Tanzania receives donated items from Pens for Kids organisations in the industrialised countries - and directly from donors - and distribute them to kids, orphenages, schools and charity organisations in Tanzania free of charge.

We document the distribution by taking photos of kids holding the donated items, and send them to the donors or publish them on our website or on our Facebook page.

Is this a familiar sight ?

In the industrialised world pens are cheap and are often handed out as promotional gifts. Many thus end up in a ceramic mug or in a drawer - untill they dry up and become useless.

In Africa many families have to survive on a dollar per day - approximately the same as the cost of a pen - so many can't afford to send their kids to school, but have to send them out in the streets to work, beg or steal.

So wrap up your obsolete scholastic materials and send them to us.

It doesn't cost you very much - but it can make a huge difference for kids in Africa.

...and what's in it for you ?

We take pictures of the kids holding the donated items - and in case of larger donations Pens for Kids Denmark sends us signs with the donors name / company logo / website address, that the kids can hold in the pictures.

We can publish the pictures on our website(s) / send them to you by email / link to your company's website / your Facebook profile - and you are welcome to use the pictures for any purpose you see fit. Perhaps as proof of your corporate social responsibility program ?

We will not:

- send you newsletters, spam mails or letters begging you for more donations !

- publish your name or address without your permission.
